Serious Men Movie Review: Sunlight Kam Hai To Kya Hua Tu Apne Talent Se Chamakna.

        ● STORY :-

Serious men is an Indian film directed by Sudhir Mishra. It's an adaptation of the Book of the same name by Manu joseph. The opening Scene of Serious Men starts with a song and voice-over of Ayyan mani (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) explaining how life is complex and meaningless. Story follows Ayyan mani, a middle-aged Dalit working as an assistant to a Brahmin astronomer at the National Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai. Ayyan mani lived his half life struggling, working under someone and facing embarrassment. He is blessed with a son and He understands Life, He knows how cruel, complex and meaningless life can be, and he didn't wanted his son to face the similar challenges and he wanted his son to have a bright future and a happy life, a life without struggles and embarrassment, So Ayyan mani develops a Scandalous Story that his son is a science genius but later Ayyan faces the consequences and to know how he deals with it you will have to watch the movie.

       ● ANALYSIS :-

The story is pretty good, funny and touching and on the other hand the acting by Nawazuddin Siddiqui is like cherry on a cake, the dialogues are hard hitting and on points, It will slightly leave a note in your mind how caste system can affect and how knowledge and intelligence can be the ultimate power, First half of the movie builds up the fame and second half deals with it, the movie will keep you engaged.

       ● DIRECTION, BGM AND CINEMATOGRAPHY:-

Sudhir Mishra really did a good job, He tried to give justice to the story which is well written and adapted from the book of the same name. BGM (Background music) there wasn't really much of it to look up to, Cinematography was well executed.

       ● ACTING :-

Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Ayyan mani) obviously he's a Paragon of acting, his expressions and dialogue delivery will make sit till the end, Indira Tiwari (Oja mani) didn't have much screen timing but did well, Aakshath Das (Adi mani) this little boy impressed a lot and tried to match Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nassar (Dr. Acharya) and Sanjay Narvekar (Keshav Dharve) are known for there acting and they really did justice to their role, Shweta Basu Prasad (Aparna) did a quality acting too.

       ● FINAL VERDICT:-

As I already said that movie will keep you engaged, It's a book based movie generally such movies doesn't give justice to the book but this one has outshined itself with its direction, acting and on point dialogues, I would suggest you to definitely give it a watch, It has 1-2 awkward adult scene otherwise you can definitely watch it with your family too.

My Rating- **4/5 (4 stars)
