• ACTING:-

The cast is so amazing, each one of them nailed their roles perfectly. Whether it be characters with very less screen timing or the characters like KALEEN BHAIYA (PANKAJ TRIPATHI), MUNNA BHAIYA(DIVYENDU SHARMA), GUDDU PANDIT (ALIF FAZAL), GOLU GUPTA (SHWETA TRIPATHI), BEENA TRIPATHI (RASIKA DUGAL), MAQBOOL KHAN (SHAJI CHAUDHARY), MADHURI YADAV (ISHA TALWAR), ROBIN (PRIYANSHU PAINYULI) and many more, they just amazed every one with their acting skills and dialogue delivery.

 • ANALYSIS

So overall Mirzapur season two is essentially a squabble between four sets of fathers and their sons. The Pandits, The Tripathis, the Shuklas and the Tyagis, the father-son duo in all these clans are at loggerheads. All dealing with their controlling fathers and doing everything to step out of their father’s shadow. And all have some unfinished revenge to execute.

• FINAL VERDICT

It's BINGE WORTHY but BELOW EXPECTATIONS. There was no problem with their acting but the plots story took a very slow start Inspite being a season 2, some unwanted connection that comes out to make a base for the third season. You will definitely miss Bablu (Vikrant Massey) as he was the one giving a major vibe to the plot.

Writers Puneet Krishna and Vineet Krishna brings the season with plenty of drama and come out guns blazing. The season, directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Mihir Desai, take a jump at mid-season. The latter episodes follows up in politics and expectations for loyalty from employees. Within all of these they lacked the focus between Guddu and Munna the main friction .

Mirzapur Season 2, the fight for the throne of mirzapur ends with some killings, some betrayal and with some base for the continuation of next season.

My Ratings:- 🌟 🌟🌟/5 (3 stars)

Laxmmi bomb is an official remake of 2011 Tamil movie Kanchana. The movie was announced in 2019 with an character poster of Akshay Kumar. On 9 October, Akshay Kumar and makers unveiled its trailer across all the digital platforms. The trailer has recieved praises but has also recieved flak from certain section of people. Let's talk about it.

  • The remake controversy
                    Source: Google Images

Every year Bollywood churns out some amazing movie and some of them are remakes of already successful and great movies. While some producers buy the rights of the movie and make an official remake others just grab the main storyline of the movie without bagging rights and giving due credits to the original team.  Some of the unofficial remake that Bollywood produced:-

1Chak De India is an unofficial remake of the Hollywood movie Miracle starring Kurt russel. They marketed the movie as an original content but they just copied the plot, most of the key situations and even dialogues were just plainly translated in hindi.

                             Source : Google Images

2) Judwaa movie starring Salman Khan was an official remake of movie twin dragon starring Jackie Chan. They just added some Bollywood masalas and the movie was made. Fun fact: The movie was again remade as Judwaa 2 starring Varun Dhawan.

                           Source: Google Images

There are many other unofficial remakes in Bollywood but I gave example of two of the most prominent movies that are appreciated even today for its content.
So, my point here is,this movies didn't received any flak or negativity. Even the official remake ones like Kabir Singh, Rowdy Rathore, Drishyam, etc were all appreciated and were never criticised of being an remake. Drishyam even went on to win national award! So why now for laxmmi bomb? I see every youtuber spreading negativity against laxmmi bomb of being an remake and alleging it's maker for plagiarism. But the fact is that the movie is an official remake and even they have retained the original director and some of the crew member from the original movie. It was announced way before that laxmmi bomb is an remake of Kanchana and that time I didn't see any negativity or people alleging Bollywood for remake. For a matter of fact, Kabir Singh movie which was an remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy earned  Rs 331.24 CR in India! People pointing finger towards Bollywood for churning out remakes every year, flocks in theatres in large numbers to see this remakes!

  • Love Jihad
People now have problem with Akshay Kumar as he's playing a muslim character named Asif married to a hindu girl, but the movie is completely based on horror comedy! Why are we getting so communal? People boycotting it for love jihad are the same ones who boycotted Kedarnath movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput and are now ranting for justice.

For people telling why the character name is changed from raghav to asif, you guys haven't seen the movie yet. As you all guys are assuming things for spreading this hatred let me add one more assumption to your list. Going by the trailer, we saw a glimpse of Burj khalifa. For those of you who don't know ( Especially Andhbhakts) Burj Khalifa is in dubai and Islam is the official religion in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). So, there is a possibility that Akshay kumar's character Asif is based in Dubai and he met Kiara Advani in Dubai. So that's the need of the script. Also add to this ,
                           **SPOILER ALERT**
In the movie Kanchana the priest that removed the ghost of Kanchana was muslim and in one scene they even visited the mosque. So to suit to this scene they must have named the character as Asif as a hindu guy won't visit a mosque rather he would visit the temple.

  • Title Controversy
People are calling for boycott as they think it's demeaning to our hindu god and culture. I even saw some articles promoting this and asking if they can swap the god of other religion in the name of the movie.
                    ***MAJOR SPOILER ALERT***
In the movie Kanchana, the central trans character is named Kanchana. Here in laxmmi bomb, it is named laxmmi. Other factor is that in the original movie, the antagonist seeks shelter in an temple to protect himself from the spirit. As spirits are considered evil so they can't enter temple then Kanchana seeks permission from the goddess Laxmi and she enters the temple to drag him out of the temple.
You guys must surely have got an idea why it's named laxmmi bomb. Those who have watched kanchana, knows it's nothing demeaning to our goddess.

  • Transphobic
People are claiming that the movie has made an mockery of the trans people and is instilating fear in the minds of people about trans people. I have just one thing to say to them, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, transgender rights activist, praised the trailer and even wished for its success. In the original movie also, the movie has dealt with a sensitive topic and its aimed to create awareness about trans people and discrimination against them.

                              Laxmi Narayan Tripathi

  • Nepotism
I will just give details about the cast and crew involved in the making of laxmmi bomb:-
# Director- Raghava Lawrence (Outsider)
# Co- Director - Balakrishnan Thevar (Outsider)
# Producers- Fox Star studios, Shabina Khan(outsider), Tusshar kapor(Nepotistic) and Akshay Kumar(Outsider)
# Cast- Akshay Kumar( Outsider), Kiara Advani( Partly Nepotistic), Manu Rishi Chaddha( outsider), Rajesh Sharma(Outsider), Ayesha Raza mishra( Outsider), Sharad Kelkar(Outsider), Ashwini Kalsekar( Outsider), Tarun Arora(Outsider).
# Cinematography- Vetri(Outsider)
# Story, screenplay- Raghava Lawrence( Outsider)
# Adapted Screenplay, dialogues- Farhad samji(Outsider).

Now you can analyse for yourself!

My only message to people spreading this hatred  propaganda is fuck you! Social media influencer are making a fool out of you and you are enjoying being one. And for those people questioning Akshay Kumar's nationality should first question themselves as what they have done for this country. He's the highest tax payer of this country and he's the only one to come forward to help in any situation.

  • STORY

The story begins with the conversation between sunny (Vikrant Massey) and his father pappi sethi (Rajiv Gupta) where they make a deal that if sunny gets married then only his father will help him open his own restaurant and on the other hand Shobha juneja (Ayesha Raza) mother of Ginny (Yami Gautam) has her entire focus on getting her daughter a perfect match. Shobha juneja known for her matchmaking skills is struggling to find a perfect match for her own daughter because her daughter ginny still has feeling for her EX Nishant Rathee (Suhail Nayyar) and story move with sunny in search of a girl to get married but he meets ginny and he falls for her as she is his school crush and after noticing that sunny likes ginny Shobha aunty ask sunny to impress ginny and she will help him to accomplish that and then the romance, fun, and a cute love story with some drama continues, to know what happens do watch the movie.

• ANALYSIS

This movie carries all the components of a romantic story whether it be comedy or heartbreak, cute little moments or catchy and heart touching songs and scenes but it still fails to impress as it has the same Bollywoodish cliche climax, Inspite of that you will not feel bored though and will surely like this movie.

• DIRECTION, BGM AND CINEMATOGRAPHY:-

Puneet khanna has done a good job with his direction skills could have been better but it's quite well done, BGM (Background music) has been arranged well too, cinematography was decent and songs has been timed preciously and doesn't seems out of place and the songs are catchy and heart warming as well.

• ACTING:-

You will stay for the cast as they have done a beautiful job, VIKRANT MASSEY (Sunny) he has emerged so well with his acting skills and he delivers it again a spectacular performance, YAMI GAUTAM (Ginny) seemed totally natural with her acting, AYESHA RAZA (Shobha Juneja) and RAJIV GUPTA (Pappi Sethi) they have acted so well that they gave a reason to watch this movie, SUHAIL NAYYAR (Nishant Rathee) was good as well.

 • FINAL VERDICT

The overall movie is good except the climax other wise the entire movie is pretty entertaining a good blend of romance and comedy, you won't get bored and as I said, you will stay for this beautiful cast, definitely give it a watch.

        ● STORY :-

Serious men is an Indian film directed by Sudhir Mishra. It's an adaptation of the Book of the same name by Manu joseph. The opening Scene of Serious Men starts with a song and voice-over of Ayyan mani (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) explaining how life is complex and meaningless. Story follows Ayyan mani, a middle-aged Dalit working as an assistant to a Brahmin astronomer at the National Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai. Ayyan mani lived his half life struggling, working under someone and facing embarrassment. He is blessed with a son and He understands Life, He knows how cruel, complex and meaningless life can be, and he didn't wanted his son to face the similar challenges and he wanted his son to have a bright future and a happy life, a life without struggles and embarrassment, So Ayyan mani develops a Scandalous Story that his son is a science genius but later Ayyan faces the consequences and to know how he deals with it you will have to watch the movie.

       ● ANALYSIS :-

The story is pretty good, funny and touching and on the other hand the acting by Nawazuddin Siddiqui is like cherry on a cake, the dialogues are hard hitting and on points, It will slightly leave a note in your mind how caste system can affect and how knowledge and intelligence can be the ultimate power, First half of the movie builds up the fame and second half deals with it, the movie will keep you engaged.

       ● DIRECTION, BGM AND CINEMATOGRAPHY:-

Sudhir Mishra really did a good job, He tried to give justice to the story which is well written and adapted from the book of the same name. BGM (Background music) there wasn't really much of it to look up to, Cinematography was well executed.

       ● ACTING :-

Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Ayyan mani) obviously he's a Paragon of acting, his expressions and dialogue delivery will make sit till the end, Indira Tiwari (Oja mani) didn't have much screen timing but did well, Aakshath Das (Adi mani) this little boy impressed a lot and tried to match Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nassar (Dr. Acharya) and Sanjay Narvekar (Keshav Dharve) are known for there acting and they really did justice to their role, Shweta Basu Prasad (Aparna) did a quality acting too.

Source: Google Images

       ● FINAL VERDICT:-

As I already said that movie will keep you engaged, It's a book based movie generally such movies doesn't give justice to the book but this one has outshined itself with its direction, acting and on point dialogues, I would suggest you to definitely give it a watch, It has 1-2 awkward adult scene otherwise you can definitely watch it with your family too.

My Rating- **4/5 (4 stars)

  •  Story:-

The story begins in Shivpur where the Vijay (Ishaan) and his father (Anup Sonii) decide to loot a jewellery shop, however, the police get to know about the same. They aren't able to catch him and he quickly plans to escape the town by boarding a train. He reaches Mumbai, becomes 'Blackie' and starts working with Yusuf (Jaideep Ahlawat), where he meets Pooja (Ananya Panday) at a young age. With time, they are fond of each other and their liking grows. However, a middle-aged man, Choksi Seth (Swanand Kirkire) expresses his wishes to marry her when she is 18 and asks Yusuf to raise her as a guardian until then. Upon knowing Blackie and Pooja's affection, Yusuf threatens him to run away. Cut to several years later, and Blackie is now a taxi driver. Blame the circumstances, but on a not-so-busy night, he meets Pooja as a bhaagi hui dulhan, who seeks his help to run away from getting married to Choksi Seth. What happens then leads to a series of chase and escape in his taxi.

  • Analysis-

Those who have watched the trailer and promos surely know what to expect from this movie. The first half is good with Chase sequences, performances and twists. The problem is the second half of the movie. It does have chase sequences but the twists are very predictable making it monotonous. Also, the childhood portion of the protagonist seems like a ripped of Telugu movie Hello (which is dubbed in hindi as taqdeer) with some slight modification.

  • Direction, Cinematography BGM and Music:-

Maqbool khan being a debutant does well in his first movie. He has made the movie solely with the purpose of catering to the mass audience. BGM ( background music) of the movie is also good specially in the chase sequences as it gives adrenaline feels. Cinematography is decent as there's nothing new here. Music by Vishal- Shekhar is a big letdown in this movie. All the songs are a pain to hear and are placed very badly in the movie. They just pop out of nowhere.

  • Acting:-

Ishaan Khattar nails the typical Tapori Bombay accent. He is good in comedy, amazing in action and excellent in dialogue delivery. Watch out for his entry scene which will remind you of Shahid Kapoor's entry in Kabir Singh. Ananya Pandey is decent in the movie. There is an improvement in her performance as compared to her previous movie pati patni aur woh but she needs to work on her dialogue delivery.  Jaideep Ahlawat is excellent in the role of Yusuf. He has that evil look and is excellent throughout the movie. Other actors like Satish Kaushik, Swanand Kirkire and Anup Soni are good in their respective roles.

  • Final Verdict:-

Khaali peeli is typical masala potboiler movie which used to come in 80's. It has nothing new to offer but for an average viewer it provides decent entertainment. As far as zeeplex pay per view is concerned I would suggest you to wait for it to come under zee5 subscription.

My rating - **1/2(2.5 stars)

 Movie review:- Enola Holmes

Story-

Jumping straight on the screen breaking the fourth wall, we see Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) cycling while she takes us to the things we must know before getting ahead in the story. We discover she’s visiting Railway Station to welcome her brothers Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft Holmes (Sam Claflin) to solve a case, the case of their lost mother Eudoria Holmes (Helena Bonham Carter).

As Enola starts to decipher the messages her mother has left for her, she starts to understand how this is a solo battle to fight. On her run to discover herself and try to find her lost mother, Enola meets Viscount Lord Tewksbury (Louis Partridge) He has his fair-share yesses and nos with Enola as she focuses on finding her mother. Rest, it’s all about whether Enola will truly be able to find what she’s looking for or she’ll just get what’s actually there?

Direction and Cinematography-

Being the most vibrant color-coded film of the year, Mr. Nuttigen makes an impressive camera use and lighting techniques to highlight the dosage of free and independent young girl, trying to gain freedom from the clutches of a "proper British lady". Mr. Bradbeer knows his vision to bring his heroine to Baker Street and turn her a franchise star.

ACTING:

Millie takes home a charm of her own, by bringing Enola from the books to the screen for her visceral teen beauty for people to fall in love with. Her wit and charm is constantly triggered by her free will and constraint borders, which serve as fresh air in the Holmes universe. Mr. Cavill is a poignant slueth, Sherlock, except I would still give Benedict proving a better Sherlock ( A Debate? ) Helena Bonham Carter is always graceful, one of the finest, most refined actors in the industry.Sam Claflin’s Mycroft is much messier than seen on the BBC’s version and actor plays it's perfectly.Louis Partridge pulls off a Timothee Chalamet as Viscount Lord Tewksbury. Thankfully, his character is balanced by the end after a quivering start. Rest all the actors lend adequate support.

Final Verdict:-

Enola Holmes is absolutely wonderful, quirky and charming. You'll absolutely love it, unless you're a Sherlock Holmes fan, then it quickly looses its charms. They basically change every character completely to fit the story, rendering them unrecognisable.Without much of a mystery to solve, this young Holmes comes across more like a junior-level Wonder Woman: intelligent and highly trained yet puzzled by this unfamiliar, unfair world of men.

The movie was less intriguing with no high level mystery whatsoever. It didn't seem as a whole, rather was scattered into bits and pieces which made it kind of dull. A-List cast but a weak storyline and a no-suspense mystery drowns Enola Holmes into disappointment.

My Rating : 2.5/5
